this book hasn't necessarily changed my life but it has given me a different point of view on things and has taught me some lessons. i have really learned that standing in someone else's shoes isnt an easy thing to do but it can help you in the long run. i have also learned about the mockingbird moral. innocent people do die for no apparent reason but thats just life.

A life lesson in this book is don't kill innocent people. one example is when atticus comes home and tells the girls, "...17 bullet holes in him." (235) Everyone know that Tom was innocent, but because he's black it was okay to to murder him.  I tom would have been white they just would have shot to injure, but because tom is black they shot to stone cold murder. 

one time my sister got blamed for something she didn't do, we were fighting and i wanted her to get in trouble so i bit my self really really hard and i yelled my moms name so she would come and i was like "MOM!! emma just bit me." and my mom completely believed me. she as going to grounds mom sister for 2 weeks but i felt really bad so i told my mom the truth. but my sister was innocent and she almost got blamed just like Tom Robinson was innocent and he go blamed.

themes

themes are a really big parts of his book and i believe the biggest theme is the mocking bird theme. there are many mocking birds in the story such as boo radly, dill, and tom Robinson. a mocking bird is an innocent creature that gets picked on for no reason. all three of those characters get picked on. boo radly gets picked on by the whole town he gets rumors made up about him and he has no way to stop them. dill gets ignored by his new parents. they gave him all kids of toys to play with but they don't give him love. tom Robinson is a mocking bird also, the whole town is against him and he is convicted of rape because he is a black man.

atticus:)

i think attics is a really good dad. he handles situations very well. when dill ran away from home attics was accepting to him. he let dill stay the night and eat:)

change about boo radly:)

when jem scout and dill all went to the radly place to spy on the radlys, jems pants got caught on the fence and they ripped. later that night when jem went bach his pants were sewn like a 6 year old did it. i think boo radly did this so jem wouldnt get in trouble. this shows boo really is a nice guy.

first impression.

my first impression of boo radly was he was kind of scary and mean. but now i have a different piont of view now i know he id really nice. i think the people of maycomb  just misunder stood th stories about boo and they just became big rumors.

 

the best thing about english so far is reading to kill a mockingbird, in the beginning the book was really boring but it got a lot better and i really like it, scout is super cute.
